A builder from a young age, Eric earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University. He began his building career by training with master craftsmen and custom homebuilders in Ashland and Jacksonville, Oregon. Even while attending OSU, he worked for a production framing crew in the summers.

After graduation, Eric became a Project Engineer for a Portland, Oregon, firm. He returned to Southern Oregon to start PBC in 2006. The business grew as Eric worked on new homes, remodels, and additions.

During the recession years, when many contractors were forced to fold, Eric found a niche as a framing sub-contractor. He has framed over 70 homes in Medford and Klamath Falls, Oregon. He also worked for a short time in Northern California as an estimator for a large commercial contractor. Now, with new construction on the rise,  Eric has returned to his roots as a builder of new homes.

Eric moved PBC from the Rogue Valley to Bandon, Oregon, in 2016. He adapted quickly, and he knows how to build a solid home that will withstand the climate and weather conditions of the coast. His most recent travels have taken him to the Emerald City of Eugene, Oregon. He has become more and more active in the excavation side of construction, and with the purchase of a 10,000 lb. Kubota excavator in 2018, the dirtworks side of the business has grown.

Currently, Eric lives in Eugene, Oregon, with his wife, Deirdre. He is a graduate of Oregon State University and Ashland High School.
